Methods of teaching environmental science. Special emphasis on outdoor education methods. Materials and media for effective teaching.

Prerequisite(s): 9 credits in science and science methods courses; admission to teacher education program.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to develop learning activities that focus on environmental science.
2. Students will be able to develop an instructional theory for secondary school environmental science teaching that meets the diverse needs of heterogeneous classes.
3. Students will be able to utilize local and outside resources to make your environmental science lesson more interesting and relevant to contemporary youth.
