Special instructional methods for students with cognitive and behavioral disorders. Includes instruction in I.E.P. goals and objectives.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to discuss the trends in the field of special education that affect or are likely to affect the delivery of services to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
2. Students will be able to develop and implement specific lesson plans and research-based teaching strategies for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
3. Students will be able to demonstrate how to modify instruction to meet the needs of individual learners, based on student performance.
4. Students will be able to effectively employ assistive technology and universal design for learning concepts in teaching and learning activities for students.
