EDSP 652 - Assessment for Special Education Teachers (3 units) Formal and informal methods for assessing students with disabilities: academic, language, motor, perception, social skills. Interpretation of assessment and application to program needs.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to describe major types of reliability & validity and how they can be assessed. 2. Students will be able to select appropriate informal assessments, and when needed, be able to design and implement their own. 3. Students will be able to Interpret reliability and validity data for standardized assessments.
