EL 791 - Special Topics (1 to 4 units) Literature review and analysis of assigned topics focusing on contemporary and future issues in school administration and other issues. May be repeated for a maximum of 12 credits when topics vary.
Offered: Every Fall, Spring, and Summer Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to distinguish the roles and responsibilities of the team physician, athletics trainer, strength and conditioning coach, sports nutritionist, and sports psychologist through an analysis of written and oral communications. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of concussions in sports. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of what constitutes student-athlete abuse and hazing in intercollegiate athletics.
