GEOG 342 - Historical Geography (3 units) Details processes, procedures, practices, and methodologies used to study the geographical past. Landscape analysis.
Recommended Preparation: GEOG 106 or GEOG 200.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to identify the major themes in historical geography and explain how the past influences current cultural landscapes. 2. Students will be able to apply key concepts in historical geography to compare, contrast, and evaluate the dynamics of landscapes, memory, and/or the environment. 3. Students will be able to communicate the subject matter in written, verbal, or graphical format.
