GEOG 412 - Computer Mapping (3 units) Computer assisted cartography in theory and practice. Cartographic communications, data acquisition and design for computer generated mapping.
Recommended Preparation: Course in cartography, computer science, or statistics.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to apply methods and tools for analysis and interpretation of geo-spatial data. 2. Students will be able to apply appropriate geo-spatial technologies to solve problems within their area of interest. 3. Students will be able to communicate the results and findings of geo-spatial analyses in written, verbal, or graphical formats.
