GEOG 473 - Nevada: Patterns On the Land (3 units) Physical, historical and economic aspects of the western Great Basin and nearby areas such as the Sierra Nevada and the southern Columbia Plateau. Field trip.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to discuss the major biophysical and/or social patterns in Nevada and the key drivers that give rise to those patterns. 2. Students will be able to analyze these regional patterns using geographical concepts. 3. Students will be able to apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze cultural and social relationships and processes in a regional context.
