Regional geography of area with limits in terms of Arab and Islamic influences or related cultural and historical circumstances. Oriented around strategic core of territory as crossroads of three continents.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to discuss the major biophysical and/or social patterns in the Middle East and the key drivers that give rise to those patterns.
2. Students will be able to analyze these regional patterns using geographical concepts.
3. Students will be able to apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze cultural and social relationships and processes in a regional context.
