GEOG 489 - East Asia (3 units) Regional and national analysis of the physical, political and cultural geography of China, Japan, and Korea. Comparison of varied development experiences.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to discuss the major biophysical and/or social patterns in the East Asia and the key drivers that give rise to those patterns. 2. Students will be able to analyze these regional patterns using geographical concepts. 3. Students will be able to apply critical thinking, writing, and creative skills to analyze cultural and social relationships and processes in a regional context.
