GEOG 506 - Topics in Geographic Education (1 to 3 units S/U Only) Emphasis on geographic concepts and their application in curriculum development. Topics include: a) physical geography, b) human geography, c) urban studies, d) landforms, e) climatology, f) vegetation, g) technology in the classroom, h) field methods, i) geography through literature, j) curriculum development. Maximum of 12 credits.
Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to explain and interpret the ideas associated with geographic education. 2. Students will be able to analyze the topic using geographical concepts. 3. Students will be able to communicate the subject matter in written, verbal, or graphical format.
