GEOL 495 - Special Problems (1 to 5 units) Independent study or research. Consists of conferences, reading, laboratory or field work. Maximum of 10 credits to pursue different studies.
Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to summarize current research and critically review the literature pertaining to a research project. 2. Students will be able to articulate in writing or verbally and critically analyze research strategies and results. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate an advanced level of competency in a specific topic area. 4.
