GEOL 781 - Advanced Surface Water Hydrology (3 units) Theory and application of rainfall-runoff modeling including the use of large hydrometeorologic databases and statistics to identify design precipitation events.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to explain atmospheric and hydrologic phenomena and how the systems are coupled. 2. Students will be able to describe these processes in terms of conservation equations. 3. Students will be able to solve these equations analytically/numerically. 4. Students will be able to synthesize the acquired knowledge to explain more complex hydroclimatic processes at the basin scale.
