HDFS 730 - Family Theories (3 units) Analysis of current and classical theories as relates to contemporary family structures and issues. Application of theory to research and special topics.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring - Odd Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to critically evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of theories/frameworks used in family research. 2. Students will be able to apply family theories to contemporary family issues and explain the family issues. 3. Students will be able to integrate the principles of preferred family theories and recent research issues related to his/her own interest and area of study and develop research questions.
