Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to analyze, evaluate, and interpret primary sources.
2. Students will be able to analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources.
3. Students will be able to clearly and effectively articulate an original interpretation in verbal and written form.
4. Students will be able to identify key events, issues, and policies related to Africa since 1850, including the Scramble for Africa, African nationalism, and post-colonial Africa.
