Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to critically examine American foreign policy after 1945 and its impact on domestic and global developments that shaped the contemporary United States.
2. Students will be able to analyze and synthesize primary, secondary, and cultural sources.
3. Students will be able to find and use historical scholarship and sources to answer a research question.
4. Students will be able to present ideas in a clear and persuasive manner both orally and in writing, in accordance with the ethical principles governing scholarly inquiry.
5. Students will be able to analyze struggles for equality and inclusion of marginalized groups in the United States after 1945.
