HIST 465A - Culture and Society in 19th Century Great Britain (3 units) Political and cultural life of the British Isles; emphasizes industrialization, colonialism, feminism, liberalism, and socialism.
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to analyze, evaluate, and interpret primary sources. 2. Students will be able to analyze and clearly explain the argument, main points, and use of evidence in secondary sources. 3. Students will be able to clearly and effectively articulate an original interpretation in verbal and written form. 4. Students will be able to identify key events, issues, and policies related to the political and cultural life of the British Isles: Industrialization, Colonialism, Feminism, Liberalism, and Socialism.
