Topical seminar that integrates research, analytic, methodological, language and writing skills.

Prerequisite(s): HIST 300  plus at least 6 additional credits at 300-level or above.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to articulate an original research question to investigate through historical research. 
2. Students will be able to find, analyze, and draw reasoned conclusions from primary and secondary sources.
3. Students will be able to express ideas clearly and persuasively, both orally and in writing.
4. Students will be able to share ideas and critique historical works as part of a collegial community of scholars.
5. Students will be able to synthesize their research findings and present them in a manner appropriate to a general audience.
