HP 470 - Research Practicum (3 units) Field and archival recording and research; methods of recording historic structures and objects; development of historic overlays; nomination procedures of the National Register of Historic Places.
Prerequisite(s): HP 400 . Recommended Preparation: HP 401 .
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to critically evaluate, orally and in writing, the relevant literature in the specific topic area of the section taken. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate an advanced level of competency in the specific area of the section taken. 3. Students will be able to discuss the relationship of a specialized area of anthropology in the broader context of the field and to their own research interests.
