ANTH 468 - Forensic Anthropology (3 units) The analysis of human skeletal remains in a medico-legal context. Evaluation of age, sex, ethnicity, stature, time since death, trauma and disease.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the bones in the human skeleton. 2. Students will be able to demonstrate appreciation of human skeletal diversity. 3. Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the basic principles guiding forensic research and methods and be able to evaluate forensic case studies. 4. Students will be able to apply basic forensic anthropological techniques.
