CEE 445 - Retaining Structures Design

(3 units)
Rigid and flexible earth retaining structures: rigid, anchored bulkhead, braced cut, tie-back cut, slurry trench and MSE (metallic and geosynthetic) walls with applications to infrastructure projects.

Prerequisite(s): CEE 442  with a “C” or better.

Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data.
