CHE 232 - Principles of Chemical Engineering (3 units) Introduction to chemical calculations emphasizing unit equations, process stoichiometry, material and energy balances, states of matter, simulation of steady-state and transient processes, and case studies.
Prerequisite(s): CHE 102 ; CHEM 202 ; MATH 181 with a “C” or better.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have an ability to function on multidisciplinary teams. 3. Students will have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems. 4. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively. 5. Students will have an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.
