Principles of health data analysis in fields of health sciences.

Prerequisite(s): STAT 152  or APST 270 ; CHS 101 ; CHS 102 ; CHS 200 ; CHS 330  or Junior or Senior standing.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to choose appropriate health analysis methods to conduct public health research.
2. Students will be able to understand and describe the process of health data collection, management, analysis and presentation.
3. Students will be able to analyze a variety of health data.
4. Students will be able to read, understand and critically evaluate public health journal articles and reports that use health data analysis methods.
5. Students will be able to demonstrate effective written and oral skills for communicating health data analysis with different audiences.
