Introduction to environmental epidemiology, emphasizing the impact of environmental factors on human disease and the epidemiological research methodology typically used.

Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to describe the history, principals, goals, and methods used in Environmental Epidemiology.
2. Students will be able to critically evaluate and synthesize scientific literature.
3. Students will be able to evaluate, justify, and apply appropriate methodological and analytical approaches to address public health research questions in Environmental Epidemiology.
4. Students will be able to effectively defend research methodology and findings through concise scientific writing and oral presentations.
5. Students will be able to interpret results from statistical analyses of epidemiologic studies.
6. Students will be able to examine biologic models of disease etiololgy.
