Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to distinguish between crises and negative events.
2. Students will be able to identify types of contemporary organizational crises.
3. Students will be able to explain characteristics of a crisis, purpose of crisis communication, and components of crisis communication plan.
4. Students will be able to develop an ethical and effective crisis communication plan.
5. Students will be able to present a crisis communication plan for a specific audience.
6. Students will be able to conduct a crisis communication interview.
7. Students will be able to compare and apply different ethical theories to crisis communication contexts.
