CPE 401 - Computer Network Systems (3 units) Packet switching, routing, congestion control, network layer, internet, transport layer, sessions, FTP, telnet, rlogin, SMTP, NFS, NetBIOS, WWW, security, data compression.
Prerequisite(s): CPE 400 ; CS 365 .
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of computing, mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. 3. Students will have an understanding of professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities. 4. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 5. Students will have the broad education necessary to analyze the local and global impact of computing and engineering solutions on individuals, organizations, and society. 6.
