CS 320 - Interaction Design (3 units) Interaction paradigms, frameworks, styles; design principles, models, tools, standards; interaction components: text, color, widgets, icons, speech, hearing, haptics; I/O devices; prototyping, implementation, evaluation; accessibility guidelines.
Prerequisite(s): CS 202 .
Units of Lecture: 3 Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to design, implement, and evaluate a computer-based system, process, component, or program to meet desired needs, within realistic constraints specific to the field. 2. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 3. Students will have the broad education necessary to analyze the local and global impact of computing and engineering solutions on individuals, organizations, and society. 4. Students will have an ability to use current techniques, skills, and tools necessary for computing and engineering practice. 5. Students will have an ability to apply design and development principles in the construction of software systems or computer systems of varying complexity.
