CS 477 - Analysis of Algorithms (3 units) Analysis and design of algorithms on sequences, sets, graphs and trees. Geometric, algebraic and numeric algorithms, FFTs, reductions. Parallel algorithms.
Prerequisite(s): CS 302 with a “C” or better; CS 365 or EE 291 .
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply knowledge of computing, mathematics, science, and engineering. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments, as well as to analyze and interpret data. 3. Students will have the broad education necessary to analyze the local and global impact of computing and engineering solutions on individuals, organizations, and society. 4. Students will have a knowledge of contemporary issues.
