CS 666 - Numerical Methods I (3 units) Numerical solution of linear systems, including linear programming; iterative solutions of non-linear equations; computation of eigenvalues and eigenvectors, matrix diagonalization. (CS 666 and MATH 666 are cross-listed; credit may be earned in one of the two.)
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an ability to apply engineering research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline. 2. Students will have an ability to design and conduct experiments as well as to analyze, interpret, apply, and disseminate the data. 3. Students will have an understanding of research methodology.
