Student Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of this course:
1. Students will be able to compare and contrast the foundations of education in the US and education in Europe.
2. Students will be able to discuss and explain the reoccurring historical themes in the history of Western education.
3. Students will be able to develop an argument based on historical evidence.
4. Students will be able to demonstrate understanding of the importance of chronology in the history of Western education.
5. Students will be able to analyze primary and secondary sources of information.
6. Students will be able to utilize theory to inform policy and practice in higher education.
