CHE 320 - Principles of Sustainability (3 units) CO9 Methods for approaching sustainability and life cycle assessment in areas such as energy, manufacturing, and construction, as well as organizations and the nexus of science, technology, and society.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 121A and CHEM 121L or CHEM 201 ; MATH 182 ; PHYS 180 ; Junior standing.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will have an understanding of professional and ethical responsibility. 2. Students will have an ability to communicate effectively. 3. Students will have the broad education necessary to understand the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental, and societal context. 4. Students will have a knowledge of contemporary issues.
