CHS 704 - Grantwriting (3 units) Public health programs require funding and thus the knowledge and skills to successfully fund them. This course will guide students through the process of preparing grant proposals for funding public health programs and projects.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring Student Learning Outcomes: Upon completion of this course: 1. Students will be able to design the steps and procedures for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health programs and interventions. 2. Students will be able to justify the selection of critical stakeholders for the planning, implementation and evaluation of public health programs and interventions. 3. Students will be able to develop public health programs responsive to the diverse cultural values and traditions of the communities being served. 4. Students will be able to demonstrate effective written and oral skills for communicating with different audiences in the context of professional and public health activities.
