BME 401 - Introduction to Biomedical Engineering (3 units) Overview of biomedical engineering. Application of advanced engineering and scientific techniques to problems in medicine and biology. Required of all BME majors.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. communicate effectively with a range of audiences. 3. function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives.
