CHS 724 - Environmental Epidemiology (3 units) Introduction to environmental epidemiology, emphasizing the impact of environmental factors on human disease and the epidemiological research methodology typically used.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. describe the history, principals, goals, and methods used in Environmental Epidemiology. 2. critically evaluate and synthesize scientific literature. 3. evaluate, justify, and apply appropriate methodological and analytical approaches to address public health research questions in Environmental Epidemiology. 4. effectively defend research methodology and findings through concise scientific writing and oral presentations. 5. interpret results from statistical analyses of epidemiologic studies. 6. examine biologic models of disease etiololgy.
