ENG 415D - Introduction to Old Norse (3 units) Introduction to Old Icelandic language and literature.
Prerequisite(s): ENG 303 or Junior standing.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. demonstrate their mastery of Old Norse grammar and vocabulary. 2. synthesize this knowledgeof the grammar as they work with a synthetic language. 3. demonstrate their ability to translate Old Norse prose and poetry.
