Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. describe the features and define the terminology associated with the four principal literary genres (narrative, lyric, drama, and essay).
2. define major critical theories and methods of literary interpretation.
3. create bibliographies and lists of works cited that abide by MLA guidelines.
4. apply, in a term paper, critical theory and interpretation methods to a literary work, using accepted MLA citation methods.
