MSE 250 - Elements of Material Science (3 to 4 units) Internal structure of materials, the dependence of properties upon these structures, and the behavior of materials in service.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 121A and CHEM 121L with a “C” or better or CHEM 201 .

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 3. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions.
