Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. utilize foundational knowledge from the sciences, arts and nursing to provide care to individuals and families.
2. develop competency in the nursing process while providing care to individuals and families.
3. develop competency in client assessment, critical thinking technical skills, and communication in the health care setting.
4. identify legal and ethical issues that influence the care of individuals, families, and environment.
5. analyze the influence of economic, political, cultural, and social factors on individuals, families, and environments.
6. integrate behaviors reflective of dignity and respect into the nursing process.
7. integrate research findings in the provision of nursing care for individuals, families, and environments.
8. integrate behaviors intended to promote health, reduce risk, and prevent disease in the delivery of nursing care.
9. develop competency in the use of health care technologies and informatics in the delivery of nursing care.
