Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. identify and contrast the diverse belief systems represented in major world religions.
2. describe the development and practice of ethical principles within a particular religious community.
3. analyze “religion” as a fundamental element of human intellectual, cultural and social life, and history.
4. define and explore religious issues, such as the existence and nature of God, life and death, good and evil, the just construction of society, sexuality, etc.
5. define and explore the varieties of religious expression, including ritual and prayer.
