Units of Independent Study: 1 to 24 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. clearly and independently define an original research topic. 2. identify how their chosen topic contributes to the academic and/or professional literature. 3. determine and employ appropriate econometric methods to test empirical hypotheses. 4. clearly communicate and defend results of their dissertation in writing and in an oral dissertation defense. 5. conduct and complete research that is suitable for publication in academic journals.
