CHS 766 - Public Health Data Programming (3 units) Introduction to the SAS and R statistical software applications. Hands on computer lab sections provide students skills and first-hand experience in public health data analysis and data management.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 2 Units of Laboratory/Studio: 1 Offered: Every Fall
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. apply first hand skills and experience gained in public health data management, analysis and reporting through lab sessions of on SAS and R Programing. 2. manage and analyze data using classic and modern approaches appropriate for various study designs using software packages such as SAS/R. 3. conduct a variety of analyses to solve real problems and interpret results.
