CS 636 - Big Data Systems (3 units) This course offers an advanced study of state-of-the-art big data techniques and applications and focuses on the tools and systems for big data analytics.
Grading Basis: Graded Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts, with a range of audiences. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 3. identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex computing or engineering problems by applying principles of computing, engineering, science, and mathematics. 4. design, implement, and evaluate a computing or engineering solution to meet a given set of requirements, with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.
