CHE 406 - Introduction to Polymer Science and Engineering (3 units) Introduction to a variety of polymers, including synthesis, characterization, and applications of these polymers which are of interest to chemical engineers.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 341 ; MATH 283 with a “C” or better. Corequisite(s): CHEM 421 .

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. develop and conduct appropriate experimentation, analyze and interpret data, and use engineering judgment to draw conclusions. 3. acquire and apply new knowledge as needed, using appropriate learning strategies.
