ART 302 - Drawing III (3 units) With the skills and ideas gained in Drawing I and II courses, this upper division drawing course focuses on exploring various methods of visualizing one’s conceptual ideas.
Prerequisite(s): ART 100 ; ART 101 ; ART 102 .
Units of Laboratory/Studio: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. analyze and develop an individual drawing language. 2. integrate narrative, psychological, emotional, and/or conceptual aspects of art with forms in drawing. 3. apply various methods of concept visualization with the students’ own visions and ideas. 4. establish the connection between idea and form through projects and critique sessions. 5. heighten awareness of artistic contexts in history and theory by studying historical and contemporary artists. 6. conduct research in order to deepen ideas. 7. articulate artistic processes and ideas in written form. 8. demonstrate intellectual and visual unity through leading critique sessions.
