ART 488 - Problems in Fiber Arts (3 units) Tutorial on independent basis arranged with departmental tutor/advisor. Research paper, journal and final portfolio presentation are required. Registration is permitted upon written request to the department which includes a statement of objectives, the specific goals and scope of proposed plans.

Prerequisite(s): ART 208 .
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. present their research and final portfolio to their tutor/advisor prior based upon the contractual agreement as to the scope of the expected assignments and due dates. 2. formulate a project, break it down into a series of exercises toward a sustained, critically sound presentation, portfolio and research at the end of the semester. 3. recognize and interpret critical issues and practices in relationship to their emphasis in fiber arts and contemporary art. 4. demonstrate a synthesis of knowledge, skills and advanced competency based upon best practices in their emphasis of study within the field of advanced fiber.
