CEE 204 - Natural and Engineered Environmental Systems (3 units) Fundamental concepts related to natural and engineered environmental systems for the control of water and air pollution and the treatment of water, wastewater, hazardous wastes and solid wastes.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 121A and CHEM 121L with a “C” or better or CHEM 201 ; PHYS 180 and PHYS 180L with a “C” or better; Sophomore standing.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
