CPE 670 - Autonomous Mobile Robots (3 units) Design, implementation and programming of autonomous mobile robots; sensors, effectors, basic control theory, fundamental elements of mobile robot control, introduction to advanced topics, illustrations of state-of-the-art. Teamwork: final project tested in a robot contest.

Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. identify, formulate, analyze, and solve complex computing or engineering problems by applying principles of computing, engineering, science, and mathematics. 2. function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the program’s discipline, creating a collaborative and inclusive environment, establishing goals, planning tasks, and meeting objectives. 3. apply engineering and computer science research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline.
