CS 650 - Fundamentals of Integrated Computer Security (3 units) Network security, database and system security, access control, policy and ethics development, attacks, and counter attack measures, security tools and malicious code, current trends and research. Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. design, implement, and evaluate a computing or engineering solution to meet a given set of requirements, with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors. 2. recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgments in engineering and computing practice based on legal and ethical principles, considering the impact of solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts. 3. apply engineering and computer science research and theory to advance the art, science, and practice of the discipline.
