EDES 313 - Developing as a Teacher: Practicum and Seminar (3 units) Practicum in schools and seminar designed to complement coursework in the Integrated Elementary Teaching Program.
Prerequisite(s): Admission to an elementary education program; EDU 201 .
Units of Lecture: 1 Units of Internship/Practicum: 2 Offered: Every Fall and Spring
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. use the CCSS to create and deliver lesson plans which engage diverse students in appropriate grade level academic pedagogy through seminar, field based experience, and reflective practice. 2. identify two classroom management problems, research 2-3 solutions for each problem and create a research-based classroom management plan to solve the problems.
