EDSP 721 - Advanced Behavior Management in Severe Disabilities (3 units)
Skills in management of behavior problems characteristic of individuals with severe disabilities through functional analysis and management of variables influencing behavior.

Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. conduct a functional behavior assessment (FBA) of a problem behavior .
2. use the results of the FBA ?to identify those variables that may maintain problem behaviors.
3. develop a support plan with differential intervention approaches based on function of behavior based on assessment results.
4. implement a positive behavioral support plan for an individual with a low-incidence disability.
