EDSP 722 - Autism: Characteristics and Educational Methods (3 units) Survey of autism spectrum disorders, including characteristics, impact on language development, educational services, and teaching methods.
Units of Lecture: 3 Offered: Every Fall - Even Years
Student Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. evaluate the nature of past theories of the cause of ASD, the impact of these theories on parents of children with ASD, and how these theories still impact services today. Students will develop a review of professional literature or portfolio of supporting materials related to the education of students with ASD.
